Join NYNJTC Field Trail Builder Andrew Rosenthal-Baxter on this workshop that teaches you how to properly clean, sharpen, and maintain your trail tools. Bring along your own tools and give them the spa treatment to get them back in tip top shape!
Tool maintenance is cleaning, sharpening, and maintaining your tools so you can get the most out of them for as long as possible while working safer.
This course helps you gain or brush up on the skills of utilizing wire brushes and wire wheels to clean, bastard files and grinding wheels to sharpen, and the types of oils used to lubricate your tools. If time allows, the workshop will also cover common tool repair issues such as re-handling hammers and axes and addressing dings and other malformation of metal parts.
