Stonework Workshop with The Jolly Rovers

The NYNJTC is partnering with The Jolly Rovers Trail Crew to work on the Appalachian Trail on Anthony's Nose as part of a large trail restoration project. Please join soon, registration is limited! 
 

No experience necessary! You will be taught stoneworking techniques, depending upon the needs of the project and your skills. Some potential topics will be: using levers, splitting & shaping stones, setting stairs & gargoyles, or using draglines. You also may be paving, side hilling, armoring and/or cribbing. 

  • Terrain: Rocky, steep terrain.
  • Distance: 1.25 miles from the trailhead.
  • What to bring: Please bring lunch/snacks, plenty of water, sun screen and bug spray. Please also bring ear pro, eye protection, hard hat, & gloves if you have them (we have extra on site). Wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes/boots.
