Bear Mountain: Appalachian Trail Worktrip

Volunteer Workday on the Bear Mountain Appalachian Trail: Help our Conservation Corps trail crews repair storm damage to this flagship trail – use rigging ziplines to fly loads of crushed stone surfacing, and carry and spread bucketfuls to build the trail back up.
- What to bring: Please bring lunch/snacks, plenty of water, sun screen and bug spray. Please also bring ear pro, eye protection, hard hat, & gloves if you have them (we have extra on site). Wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes/boots.

- Required Paperwork: Please complete the OPRHP Volunteer Service Agreement prior to coming out for the workday, making sure to select "Bear Mountain State Park."
This Event counts as part of Trail U curriculum.
Attending this worktrip will fulfill the "Non-Trail U NYNJTC Event" elective for any of the 3 curriculum tracks. Fill out your attendance in the Trail U Brochure to track your progress and earn a patch upon completion!
