9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Rockaway River Wildlife Management Area
Lake Hopatcong, NJ
The West Jersey Crew is working on the Beaver Brook Trail in Rockaway River Wildlife Management Area. The crew will be building a bridge over the Beaver Brook on the Beaver Brook Trail. No experience necessary!
- What to expect: The crew will work building a bridge over the Beaver Brook on the Beaver Brook Trail. The crew will meet at 9:00 am and work until between 4:00 pm and 5:00pm.
- Terrain: The route to the work site is on woods roads, in varying stages of repair. We may have to walk as much as 1 ¾ miles to the work site, or we may be able to bring vehicles to within ¾ miles of the work site. (This will be confirmed closer to the work date).
What to bring: Bring your lunch, plenty of water, work gloves, clothing appropriate for the weather, and sturdy work shoes, and be prepared to get dirty. You will be expected to wear a hard hat (we will provide them, but bring your own if you have one) and eye protection (either prescription glasses or safety glasses--please bring your own safety glasses if you have them.) The crew will provide all tools.
Where to meet: After you register you will receive an email from the crew leaders with trip details including meeting location and driving directions.
Contact: Please direct any questions to West Jersey Crew co-leaders David and Monica Day, [email protected]
